The Vehicle & Charging Integration Engineer 1 or 2 position includes a combination of project management and leadership responsibilities for short-term and long-term projects as well as day to day operational technical support. This employee will monitor and direct activities of consultants, contractors, and manufacturers while managing activities of their own projects, planning and design functions. This employee will also provide real time data and reports as requested by Metro Transit Management. This position reports to the Transit Chief Operating Officer. 
Employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. 
 
The successful candidate will be hired as a Vehicle & Charging Integration Engineer 1 or 2 level based on qualifications, and the level will be determined at the time of hire. Starting salary for the Vehicle & Charging Integration Engineer 1 is $83,452.98. Starting salary for the Vehicle & Charging Integration Engineer 2 is $91,228.28. 
Progression to a Vehicle & Charging Integration Engineer 2 is not automatic but is dependent upon the employee taking on additional duties and responsibilities, as well as the independent application of professional judgment.
