MADISON, Wis.— The Madison Metropolitan School District and Madison's Metro Transit are once again partnering to provide free summer bus access for students in grades 6 through 12, including recent high school graduates.
The Summer Youth Pass program allows eligible students to ride Metro buses at no cost throughout the summer.
Students who already have an active Metro youth pass can continue using the same card over the summer without taking any additional steps.
Students who do not already have a pass can access the Summer Youth Pass virtually through Metro Transit’s Fast Fare mobile app. To receive a pass, students should email mymetrobus@cityofmadison.com from their MMSD student email account, ending in @madison.k12.wi.us, with the subject line “Summer Youth Pass.”
Physical passes will also remain available on an as-needed basis. Before June 5, students may request a pass through their school office. After that date, physical passes will be available at the student’s feeder high school during summer school.
