Wisconsin’s public transportation system is built through collaboration among local communities, the State of Wisconsin, and the federal government. Together, these partners plan, fund, and operate transit services that connect people and communities across the state.
Advocacy plays an important role in protecting and strengthening this partnership. State and federal funding support both day-to-day transit operations and critical investments in vehicles, facilities, and other infrastructure—helping ensure Wisconsin’s urban and rural communities have access to reliable public transportation.
