The City of Appleton is currently accepting applications for the position of Communication Technician at Valley Transit. This position is responsible for dispatching, scheduling and clerical work that involves moderately complex work methods and problems. Work entails performing a wide variety of dispatching, scheduling and clerical functions which require the application of judgment and initiative in the interpretation of policies. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant General Manager.
Considerable experience in dispatching, cash handling and clerical work; graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in business or accounting or any equivalent combination of experience.
The hiring salary for this position is $19.41 per hour, plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Hours are Monday-Friday 2:00pm – 10:00pm, with additional hours as needed to cover anticipated and unanticipated vacancies.
