The City of Appleton is accepting applications for the position of Transit Operations Supervisor. This position is responsible for the supervision of on-street operations of the Valley Transit System. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience with DOT/FTA regulations, safety, passenger relations and transit routes/schedules. Valley Transit serves transit needs of 200,000 residents in the Fox Cities Area. The position works under the direction of the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for 60 employees. This is an exempt position typically working 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday but may vary based on the needs of the organization. Regular punctual and predictable attendance is required
High school diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical training in fleet maintenance or related field, at least five years public transit operations and supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The position requires an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement.
The hiring salary range for this position is $60,715.20 – $75,899.20 annually, with the ability to earn up to $91,083.20 annually, plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
